CTB-Locker Virus – Removal Instructions
CTB-Locker is yet another virus that asks for ransom money from the victim. Hackers have also traversed the road to innovation the same as computers and gadgets have. These hackers found a way to get money through viruses. CTB-Locker gets into the computer when a user isn’t careful and he clicks on suspicious ads and malicious websites that pop out. As easy as pie, CTB-Locker Ransomware will immediately lock the computer screen and block the user from using it entirely.
CTB-Locker will then show a message that says “Your computer was automatically blocked”. CTB-Locker even uses big names such as the National Security Bureau to make things more believable, but the truth is, the National Security Bureau isn’t even under the United States! The threat level of CTB-Locker is 1 out of 5, but it should never be taken for granted, because it is still a virus.
CTB-Locker should not stay long in the computer. A user who will see this must worry and find a way to solve this. Never let a day pass without removing CTB-Locker, because the longer it stays, the higher the ransom is. And of course, as more days go by, the longer the user cannot access his files. CTB-Locker is a ransomware because the victim will be asked to pay a big amount of $230 and more, because he/she has illegal downloads in his computer and will therefore result to imprisonment for five years. This sounds scary, but no one should believe this, because this is just one of the ways CTB-Locker hackers get money.
Also, never ever give credit card account numbers to them, because it’s a tactic they use for them to hoard money illegally. Unlike other viruses, CTB-Locker isn’t a hyperactive virus, but it sure does restrict the user from accessing his files. Computer blocked. That’s it. Simple, but scary. This virus is like CoinVault, because they both block the user from accessing files. This difference is just the way they enter the computer. To make sure CTB-Locker does not get in the way, users must be careful in what websites they go to. Nobody wants a blocked computer!
