KEYHolder Virus – Removal Instructions
KEYHolder Ransomware is a malicious ransomware or computer virus that encrypts the files on a computer until a ransom amount is paid to release the encryption. KEYHolder specifically targets computers that use Windows operating systems because the system files on all operating systems are crucial. The probability that the ransom for KEYHolder will be paid is high because the users cannot operate their computer without the files. The KEYHolder virus can only be removed by paying the ransom. Once the ransom is paid, the files are restored to normal and the virus disappears.
The crooks also target computers that are located in Europe. They gain access to a server by using programs on the computer called Terminal Services or directly hacking into the computer using Remote Desktop Client. KEYHolder sends requests to computers to see if their port is open. If the port is open, they can gain access.
